About the work:
The process of convection involves the transfer of heat through the movement of matter in either a liquid or gaseous state. In the natural world this transfer of heat creates convection currents in both the air and the ocean as the warmer, more buoyant air/water rises and is replaced by the falling, cooler air/water which is then itself often re-heated, creating a cycle of convection and maintaining these currents, many of which are vital to maintaining the world’s functioning ecosystems.
