About the work:
This piece documents a journey through identity as the electric guitar searches through externally imposed constraints and cultivated potentialities to find a voice with which to communicate something individual. Through embarking on this journey it hopes to question how we can continue to speak and sing as artists through moments stress and strain, be those moments deeply personal and localised or located more broadly in the wider world.
